Why we built this
We celebrate the routine, the technique, and the hours in the studio — and we also wanted a stage that rewards the human inside it.
The Improv Showdown is what makes The It Factor different. It's built for the dancers who light up a room without being told how — the ones with instinct, personality, and presence you can't choreograph.
This is where uniqueness wins. This is where the It Factor lives.
The Format
Dancers improv across Jazz, Lyrical, and Contemporary. The genre is known in advance — only the song is a surprise.
One minute on stage. No props. No partners. Just movement, instinct, and personality.
Dancers advance through brackets in their age division until one is crowned It Factor of the year.
No costumes. Normal dance wear only — black, tight-fitting pieces are recommended so the judges can see the dancer, not the outfit.
One winner per age division is crowned the It Factor Improv Champion — the title every dancer wants, and proof that you've got something nobody can teach. Full prize details coming soon.
